To anyone who drops by our blog or subscribes to our RSS:

G.Lord, itsburnsie, and I have had a lot of fun with this blog. As the summer speeds toward it's end so do our fun summer hobbies, including Casualcore Gamer Press. We've learned a lot about what it is to be on the pulse of the videogame industry. It's been really great getting our thoughts and feelings out there for the world to read.

Beta my what?!!1?

For eons beta testing has been the privileged, well connected, and/or lucky hardcore gamer that enjoys self-punishment for the sake of progress. Although all of us self-classified (but imaginary, according to some people) hardcore gamers have the requisite gaming prowess to identify flaws, glitches, imbalances, and what-not 1337 C0M3OZ, few had the opportunity to weigh in on a pre-final build of

Follow-up: Raptured

We're hours away (about 33) from the release of BioShock and I can hardly contain myself. Reviews are pouring in and that single perfect 100 on metacritic we reported on a week ago has begun to replicate itself like some sort of single-celled organism. Raptured

Videogames have a way of coming around every few years that really put their stamp on a gamer generation. My parents reminisce of time spent on the tabletop arcade version of Mrs. Pac-Man. My friends and I are still telling stories of Jedi Knight free for alls and old Starcraft strategy. A younger generation thinks to Halo as their defining gaming era. Younger still are the some of the guys I've

Resident Evil 5: Playing "that" Card?

On the list of hot-topic issues I avoid discussing like a bad rash, at the very tip-top of said list would have to be racial issues. I just don't do it. As a white guy in my mid-twenties living in the Untied States in the 21st century, I feel that it would serve my own interests to just "keep my damn mouth shut." After all, racism in this country is far from a distant memory, and true equality
